Your Littleness In God’s Will Can Change The World
We go about our days. Waking up, making breakfast, going to school, working, watching our kids, washing laundry, cooking dinner, changing diapers, washing dishes, mowing the lawn, exercising… And tomorrow we’ll do it again. These are the things of earth. And most times, we do these ordinary things because they need to get done.
But there is another mode of existence that transforms these ordinary things of life into the extraordinary. This mode of existence is so astounding that we humans will only learn in heaven what actually happened in other parts of the world because of them. This new mode of existence is entered into by means of our intentions behind all the little ordinary acts we do each day.
“My daughter, courage, do not pay attention to your littleness. What you must care about is to keep your littleness in my Will, because by being in It you will be dissolved in It, and my Will, like wind, will bring the freshness It possesses into your act, as refreshment for all creatures.” April 18, 1926 Volume 19 Book of Heaven
Here’s a question: With what intention do you do your ordinary acts of the day?
Did you realize that if you make the intention of placing your acts of the day in God’s Will and to please Him, you can help souls all around the world?
“It will bring a warm wind to enflame them with my love; It will bring a cold wind to extinguish the fire of their passions; and finally, It will bring a humid wind to produce the vegetation of the seed of my Will.”
Our little acts can bring about new “vegetation” in people’s souls as a result of doing those acts in God’s Will.
Take an act - like washing the dishes - and simply make the intention to wash them 1) with the intention of pleasing Jesus and 2) with the intention of doing them with God’s Will.
This new mode of existence has the power to transform the world. Your simple ordinary acts suddenly transform into Divine acts (because they are now down with God’s Will) that cause grace to shine on souls suffering in prisons, bring hope to people living in the slums, lift depression from souls bowed down under the weight of negative thoughts and bring consolation to souls saddened by grief.
Every act we do with the intention of doing them WITH God’s Will “agitates” God Himself and causes Him to send forth good effects all over the world, purgatory and even in heaven itself!
“Have you ever experienced the effects of the wind – how It can turn the air, almost instantly, from warm into cold, from humid into a most fresh and refrigerating air? My Will is more than wind, and your acts in It, by agitating It, move the winds It contains and produce admirable effects. Then, all these winds, united together, invest the divine throne and bring to their Creator the glory of His Will operating in the creature. Oh! if everyone knew what it means to operate in the Supreme Fiat and the prodigies It contains, they would all compete to operate in It.”
In regards to pleasing Jesus alone, He says…
“Everything which is done for Me can enter into Me, and I keep it deposited within Myself to give it all to them in the next life. But everything which is not done for Me cannot enter into Me, because those are not works worthy of Me; on the contrary, I feel nausea for them and I reject them, even though there was my attitude."
